Welcome students and parents! Mrs. Waring and I are so excited to be your child’s third grade teachers this year. We expect the best from each child and cannot wait to see each student grow throughout the year!
We hope to see many of you in the future and would love for you all to help in your child’s learning. Please feel free to volunteer and keep in contact throughout the school year. Tuesday Folders This is the main tool that Klein ISD uses for constant communication of a student’s grades. Students will bring home Tuesday folders consisting of graded papers, notes home, and conduct information every Tuesday from the previous week. In event that there is a school holiday on Monday, please note that Tuesday folders will be sent home on Wednesday. Please be sure to check these folders weekly as they contain valuable information of your student’s progress. Sign, review, and return any papers that are stapled to your child’s Tuesday Folder. REMIND/Email REMIND is a valuable communication tool. We will use this system to contact you with periodic updates about what's happening in our third grade learning community. You can send us messages through REMIND during the day with questions you have about our class. If you ever have any problems/concerns/questions during the year, please do not hesitate to send a message through REMIND or email us at lcrichton1@kleinisd.net or [email protected] (these two communication tools are the best way to get a hold of us), and we will get back to you within 24 hours. Please note that throughout the school day we are teaching and this is the best way to get in touch with us. If you would like to meet with either of us, please schedule 1-2 days in advance. You can also send a note with your child. Please encourage your child to maintain self-discipline and always try his/her best. If we work together as a team, your student will make great strides this year. Thank you for the opportunity to teach your children! We are looking forward to a wonderful year! Sincerely, Lisa Crichton [email protected] and Melissa Waring [email protected] |
